Manager HR and Administrative Services

SHQ is seeking a reliable and approachable Manager of HR and Administrative Services

Selection Criteria

  • Provide high level, timely and professional advice to the CEO, Executive Team and senior managers in relation to all HR and IR matters including current employment legislation, performance management, employee relations, change management, HR/IR planning and organisational development.
  • Provide advice and interpretation of Awards, Agreements and SHQ Policy and Procedure to employees and managers.
  • Review, develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, contracts of employment, job descriptions, performance management records/processes and all other HR related documentation. This includes training and supporting senior staff in the application of the policies.
  • Negotiate industrial agreements with relevant unions.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, incorporating developing and/or updating position descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and induction.
  • Manage all aspects of Payroll including managing the contract with the outsourced service provider. This will require a high level of technical understanding of payroll, current Award and Agreement conditions and related legislation applied through an online payroll system.
  • Manage the administration team supporting SHQ programs. As manager you will also be responsible for designing and embedding admin procedures to streamline SHQ processes.
  • Manage the HR budget and ensure effective use of financial resources.
  • Mentor new and emerging managers in all aspects of HR.
  • Take a lead role in developing a healthy organisational culture.
  • A current National Police Clearance is a requirement for this role.
