Today (March 31) is Trans Day of Visibility!
Trans Day of Visibility is about celebrating the achievements and contributions trans people have made and continue to make to our society, so we’re taking the opportunity to profile some well-known members of the trans community.

Marsha P Johnson
Marsha Johnson is a famous sex worker, drag queen and LGBTI+ and HIV activist. She is best known as the person who threw the first brick at Stonewall. The Stonewall Riots sparked LGBTI+ right movements across the USA and in turn, the rest of the world. She also started organisations to help support LGBTI+ youth and people living with HIV.

Nevo Zisin
Nevo Zisin is a Jewish, queer, non-­binary writer, activist and public speaker. Based in Melbourne, they run workshops in schools and workplaces around trans issues. They are the author of the award-winning Finding Nevo, a memoir on gender transition.

Georgie Stone is a famous Australian actress and trans rights advocate. She currently has a role on Neighbours, had appeared on many Australian TV shows to tell her story and to advocate for the rights of trans young people.

Kai Clancy is an advocate and brotherboy from Wakka Wakka and Wulli Wulli nations. Kai has done videos, interviews and articles about his experience growing up as an Aboriginal Australian and coming out as trans.
