FREE counselling for young people

As part of SRHWA’s commitment to working with marginalised groups, we are pleased to announced we are now offering FREE counselling for young people aged under 25.

Issues our specialised counsellors cover include:

  • Sexual education
  • Sexuality and sexually transmissible infections
  • Sexual negotiation
  • Sexual communication (saying ‘Yes’, saying ‘No’)
  • Sexual relationships and pleasure
  • Sexual relationships and anxiety
  • Sexual relationships and depression
  • Sexual relationships and sexual abuse
  • Sexual identity and orientation
  • Sex: starting out
  • Sexual behaviours
  • Sex and the law
  • Unplanned pregnancy counselling remains free for people of all ages. Please phone 9228 3693 to make an appointment.

    Important renovation information

    Our main site at 70 Roe Street Northbridge is currently undergoing renovations. STI drop in clinics will continue to be offered at Roe Street on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. All other clinics and counselling services will operate out of Quarry Health Centre in Northbridge until further notice.
    Street parking continues to be available at both locations.

    NEW Nuts and Bolts

    Calling all Youth Workers, School Health Nurses and anyone who works with young people! Do you want to be more confident and skilled to talk about sexual health issues? Then the Nuts and Bolts of Sexual Health is for you.
    Nuts and Bolts usually runs for 3 full days straight. This year SHQ is also running a special course over 4 shorter days.

    Dates: Wednesdays 18 & 25 May, 1 & 8 June, 2016
    Times: 9.00am – 2.30pm Venue: SRHWA, 70 Roe St Northbridge WA
