The redevelopment of our Roe Street building is complete and we are so excited to welcome you back to a new and improved SHQ.
The renovations include:

- A more private and spacious waiting area
- Advanced training facilities
- Friendlier counselling rooms
Important information:
- If you have an appointment with us, please double check the location – you can find this in your confirmation email/SMS or by giving us a call on 08 9228 3693
- You can still book telehealth appointment for counselling appointments.
Our experienced and qualified counsellors are non-judgemental. They offer a safe and confidential place to discuss worries and concerns in a relaxed, inclusive environment.
At SHQ we offer individual counselling, couples counselling and family counselling. Sometimes it is important to come to counselling alone, and sometimes it can be helpful to bring your partner or a family member with you – you can discuss this with us when you make your appointment.
Most counselling appointments last for 50 minutes.
Mental Health Care Plans:
Please note that a GP referral is required to access a Medicare Mental Health Treatment plan.
Booking a counselling appointment:
You do not need a referral to make an appointment with the Counselling Service.
Telehealth appointments are available and we also offer interpreter support.

- Wednesday 9.00am — 4.30pm
- Thursday 9.00am — 4.30pm or 6.00pm (alternating weeks)
- Friday Alternate Fridays only - 9.00am to 4.30pm
- Saturday & Sunday Closed
