SHQ Counselling is transitioning to Medicare billing.
Your first two sessions will be free if you’re under 25 or are a healthcare/concession card holder, or $25 for everyone else.
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate (via a Mental Health Care Plan) for any subsequent sessions – your counsellor will discuss this with you at your first session/s. If you are not eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan, subsequent sessions will be charged at a flat rate of $100.
Please feel free to discuss your individual circumstances confidentially with your counsellor.
Counselling sessions for unintended pregnancy and post termination issues are free of charge.
Our unintended pregnancy counselling is funded by the Women and Newborn Health Service, North Metropolitan Health Service.
