PrEP and Doxy-PEP

PrEP

Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a medication taken by people who don’t have HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) to reduce their risk of getting HIV.

PrEP has been listed on the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) since April 2018.

Doxy-PEP

Doxy-PEP is a medication used to prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs), especially syphilis and chlamydia.
