- Discuss any support or accessibility needs
- Help you decide what is right for you
- Arrange an appointment
We will talk with you about:
Any support or adjustments you may need
- Communication, mobility, or sensory requirements
- Whether you would like a support person to present
- What will happen during your appointment
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and make choices about your care.
Your Screening Options:
You may be able to choose:
- Self-collection, where you collect your own sample in private
- Nurse collected screening, where a nurse collects the sample
Our nurse will explain each option and support you to make an informed choice.
During Your Appointment
At your appointment:
- You will meet with a nurse
- You can ask questions at any time
- You can take as much time as you need
- A support person can attend if you choose
- You can ask us to stop at any time
- We will support you throughout the process
After Your Appointment
After your screening:
- Your sample will be sent for testing
- We will explain what your results mean
- We will discuss any follow-up that may be needed

You can choose if you want a support person with you.
You can choose:
- Who comes with you
- If they stay in the room
- If you want to talk on your own
- If you need help booking the appointment
