The library collection is currently unavailable for public browsing, however, items can still be requested via email and made available for collection from our reception area. Please email [email protected] to discuss your request. Please note a membership is still required to borrow items from the collection (membership forms available below).

The library has a large collection of books and educational kits suitable for professionals, students and the general public, covering all areas of sexual and reproductive health.

Some of the subject areas include:

  • Contraception
  • Reproduction
  • Sexuality and disability
  • Multicultural health
  • Aboriginal health
  • LGBTIQA+
  • Relationships
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Sex and relationship education for parents, teachers, and children

We are moving our catalogue to a new system, and online access is currently unavailable, we apologise for the inconvenience. To enquire about available library items you can contact the Library & Resource Centre.

Library membership is required to borrow items.

To join the library it costs $5 per annum for individuals.

Organisations, such as schools, can join the library for $15 per annum and are entitled to hold three library cards.

Currently individual membership payments can only be made  via credit card. Organisations may pay via card or request to be invoiced.

Members are welcome to borrow up to 4 items at a time, for a 3 week period.

Postal loans and extended loan periods/renewals can be arranged on request.

What can I hire?

  • Contraceptive kit
  • Magno-mate Reproductive Kit
  • Magno-mate Extension Pack
  • The Condom Game and other card sets, such as the Bears, Stones have Feelings Too, and Picture This
  • Condom demonstrators (Please note: each Contraceptive Kit contains one condom demonstrator, additional demonstrators can be hired, subject to availability.)

 

How much does it cost to hire items?

For kits the cost is $13.20 per kit, per week (including GST)

For card sets (such as the Condom Game) the cost is $5.50 per set, per week (including GST)

For condom demonstrators the cost is $1.10 per item, per week (including GST)

 

Do I need to join the library to hire resources?

You do not need to be a library member to hire the above resources, only if you wish to also borrow books and/or DVDs from the library collection.

 

How do I book a hire?

To request a resource for hire, please download and complete the Hire Booking Form.

Please note: The RELATE program is now owned by the WA Department of Health, and can be found on their Growing & Developing Healthy Relationships website.
