Intimate Partner Violence and Reproductive Coercion and Abuse eLearning

This comprehensive eLearning package is designed to build understanding of intimate partner violence (IPV) and reproductive coercion and abuse (RCA), and develop participants’ ability to recognise, respond and refer people experiencing violence. 

This self-paced course is designed for: 

  • Doctors 
  • Nurses and midwives 
  • Medical/nursing students 
  • Counsellors and psychologists 
  • Social workers 
  • Allied health professionals 
  • Clinic support staff 
  • Clinicians interested in supporting clients experiencing violence 

The training consists of 6 online eLearning modules, each approximately 45 – 60 minutes in length. 

Participants must complete the training within a 6-week period to avoid penalty.

The eLearning package was developed by clinicians in consultation with consumers and industry stakeholders.

The eLearning course was developed with funding from the Women’s Leadership and Development Program, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. 

Research evaluating course effectiveness was conducted in partnership with Curtin University.
