Perimenopause – When and how to treat

This workshop will enable GP’s to consider the range of options available for treating perimenopausal symptoms, and which options may be most appropriate for a patient’s circumstances.

Participants will be able to:

  • Outline the principles for prescribing perimenopausal hormonal therapy, and its risks and benefits
  • Discuss options for contraception in the perimenopause
  • Discuss when testosterone therapy may be indicated for perimenopausal people
  • Discuss the use of non hormonal treatment options for perimenopausal symptoms
